Edfaali
Your gateway to seamless payment transactions
The "Edfa'li" service was launched in August 2016, with the Commercial and Development Bank being a pioneer in offering it in Libya. So far, many subscribers have benefited from the service at various points of sale, with numerous transactions taking place. This service is distinguished by enabling electronic payments in markets and stores without the need for cash or checks, as it transfers money from the customer's account to the merchant's account via mobile phone. Additionally, merchants can add up to 10 points of sale to their account. A key requirement for the service is that the merchant must have internet access to complete the transaction and deduct the amount from the customer's account.
How to activate Edfaali
1. Activation Method:
When the merchant arrives at the bank to activate the service, the following documents are required:
- Activity license.
- A copy of the passport.
- Detailed birth certificate (National ID number).
- Company or individual account or a special account for the activity.
If the license is not owned by the merchant, a special power of attorney is required from the merchant. In the case of a foreign merchant, the license, power of attorney, and a copy of their passport must be provided.
Then, the "Edfaali" contract is filled out, the documents are attached, and a collective account (0123) is opened for the merchant. The data is then entered into the "Pay Me" system, and activation is completed. The merchant is provided with service stickers, and the usage method is explained.
2. Using the "Pay Me" Service:
The customer provides their phone number to the merchant, who then enters the phone number and the agreed amount in the designated fields in the application. A message will be sent to the customer via the number 18787 containing a secret number. The customer gives the secret number to the merchant, who enters it into the system and then deducts the amount.
